Application Deadline: May 19, 2017
Event: July 5-August 11, 2017
High school students who love to write, want to be published, and want to help other teens by sharing their personal stories are encouraged to apply to the 38th Annual Summer Writing Workshop. Participants will receive one-on-one mentoring from a professional editor, write and revise personal stories about their lives, go on field trips, and make friends with other writers. Their stories will be published in YCteen and Represent magazines, which are read by tens of thousands people each year. This year’s theme will be “Write Your American Story” and participants will engage in group activities exploring how their experiences fit into the larger world. The workshop will take place each day from 11:00am-4:00pm at Youth Communication, 242 West 38th St. 6th fl., New York, NY 10018. Click here for more information.
