Important Notice: Regents Week Jan 21-24

January 21 - January 24

Please note, that all students do not attend regular classes during Regents week in January and June. In January, 2020, the Regents week calendar is: There are no exams for 9, 10 or 12 grade students, unless a student is retaking an exam. All 11th grade students will take English Language Arts on January 21st, and must be in school at 8:45 am. All 11th grade students will take Algebra II on Thursday, January 23rd and must be in school by 12:30 pm (students with extended time on tests will come in earlier). Free Winter Sports Festival

Saturday, February 1 from 11:00AM - 3:00PM Winter Jam is an all-ages free winter sports festival that takes place in Central Park each year. Enjoy a variety of winter activities and a snowfield (blown by Gore Mountain). This event is presented by NYC Parks, Olympic Regional Development Authority, I Love NY and I Ski NY. Social Emotional Learning Series: “Ending the Silence of Mental Health”

National Alliance on Mental Illness' Ending the Silence is a 50-minute presentation for parents and other primary caregivers of middle and high school students to help raise awareness around mental health conditions through an informative PowerPoint and short videos. NAMI educates families about the early warning signs of mental illness, facts and statistics, how to approach your child, how to work with school staff, and how early recognition and prevention are key to positive outcomes. Additionally, the presentation includes personal testimony from a young adult living with a mental illness about his/her journey to recovery.
