Social Emotional Learning Series: “Ending the Silence of Mental Health”
February 14 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 am
National Alliance on Mental Illness‘ Ending the Silence is a 50-minute presentation for parents and other primary caregivers of middle and high school students to help raise awareness around mental health conditions through an informative PowerPoint and short videos. NAMI educates families about the early warning signs of mental illness, facts and statistics, how to approach your child, how to work with school staff, and how early recognition and prevention are key to positive outcomes. Additionally, the presentation includes personal testimony from a young adult living with a mental illness about his/her journey to recovery.
