Online High School Summer Programs

New York University Tisch School of the Arts offers high school students remote courses with asynchronous and synchronous components. Students earn college credit, have an opportunity to access professional artistic training with our world renowned faculty, and collaborate with students from around the world.

HIGH SCHOOL ONLINE PROGRAMS: July 12 – August 8, 2020
The following programs are open to high school sophomores and juniors. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until June 24, 2020.

DANCE PROGRAM
The program includes improvisation, master classes in contemporary styles, and repertory. Students will also be introduced to college-level pre-professional dance practice in dance theory and choreography with an emphasis on technologies for online and filmed dance. Learn more about Dance.

DRAMA PROGRAM
Students will get to train with master faculty who will help students develop as a professional theatre artist. Students will have 28 hours of conservatory training and take a theatre studies seminar. Learn more about Drama.

DRAMATIC WRITING
Students will enter the world of dramatized storytelling and learn what it takes to be a professional writer for the stage or screen. Students will write an outline and partial scripting of a full-length screenplay and a ten-minute play.

GAME DESIGN
This track of study gives students an opportunity to become a part of the next generation of game designers, developers, and entrepreneurs. Students will take these courses: Game Literacy, Game Design Workshop, and Game Development Workshop. Learn more about Game Design.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND IMAGING
Here students get to focus on using photo-based image-making for storytelling, communication, creative expression, personal exploration, and digital output. Students will learn the fundamental concepts and techniques of digital photographic equipment and processes as well as the philosophy of digital photography. Learn more about Photography and Imaging.

PRODUCTION & DESIGN PROGRAM
In Production and Design, students will learn the collaborative process at the heart of theatre-making. Skill-building classes will introduce students to scenery and costume crafts, lighting and sound technology, drafting, drawing, and painting. Learn more about Production & Design.RECORDED MUSIC
Students can become entrepreneurs-in-training by studying how music is recorded, produced, and distributed to consumers. Courses include Fundamentals of Music Production, Foundations of Music Business, and Arts and Culture of New York City. Learn more about Recorded Music.
