Applying to College

Applying to college can be a stressful process for all parties involved, full of details, deadlines, and seemingly daunting tasks.  Natural anxieties can easily set in as the process evokes pressure, competition, and mixed feelings about high school ending and a new chapter beginning.  In addition, wrestling with the uncertainty of the future can be a new experience for students and parents alike.


The college application process is also an excellent opportunity to face and conquer a new challenge. One of the keys to success in life is to see the advantages in difficult situations.  The application process is an excellent precursor to college, as you will learn how to organize and execute a complicated project, maintain optimism and poise in the face of uncertainty, and advocate for yourself and your future.  Remember, hundreds of thousands of students apply to college each year, and you will be no different. YOU WILL GET THROUGH IT!!!
