Each year, the PTA works to support the needs of our students and faculty. Unfortunately, NYC Department of Education funding does not cover all of the costs or labor associated with a BCCHS education. So, we rely on our friends and family to support our community.
There are four ways you can help our students.
The most important thing you can do is to be involved: volunteer your time! Come to meetings, share your thoughts, help out at events and school activities. We often need help at events like our Open House, High School Fair or the Parent Cocktail Party. Every hour of volunteering is a huge help. Please look for volunteer opportunities in the PTA newsletter.
This is our biggest fundraiser and every dollar raised goes directly to support our students. The money you contribute is fully tax deductible and the PTA (you are a member!) decides how to spend it; that means the whole school benefits through the Direct Drive.
This year we are asking each family to contribute $900. Of course, we value 100% participation and any amount is deeply appreciated. You can contribute any time of the year and as frequently as you wish. Many people have set up an automatic monthly donation via PayPal.
- Cash donations, please complete the donation form and return it to the Parent Coordinator.
- Check or money order donations, please complete the donation form with a check made out to BCCHS PTA and mail to: BCCHS PTA / 55 East 25th Street / New York, NY 10010
- Credit Card or Paypal, please go to PayPal to make your donation
We run supply drives throughout the year and ask families to bring in supplies needed by the whole school. You can either drop them off at school or order online and have them delivered directly to the school.
- Frequent supplies are:
- Printer paper (white or colored)
- Photo paper (white)
- White Board Eraser
- Index Cards
- Greenworks Wipes (must be this brand)
- Scotch Tape
- Purell Hand Sanitizer
Look out for other supply drives in email blasts from the PTA.
Please bring supplies or have then sent directly to:
