Posted in General

Final Meeting: Tuesday, JUNE 1, 6-7pm

We’ll read a book this month in preparation for our final conversation of the school year:

Cathy Park Hong’s MINOR FEELINGS: AN ASIAN AMERICAN RECKONING. It’s an excellent, meaningful, swift read.

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER – NATIONAL BOOK CRITICS CIRCLE AWARD WINNER – A ruthlessly honest, emotionally charged, and utterly original exploration of Asian American consciousness.

“Brilliant . . . To read this book is to become more human.”

— Claudia Rankine, author of Citizen

Baruch has committed to developing an Anti-Racist lens for the curriculum. This year, through the Parent Space Study Group, parents have an opportunity to engage in the kinds of conversations that your kids are having.

The goal is to examine this urgent topic in order to gain personal insight about our own explicit and implicit beliefs and values, so we can better confront racism. We are also getting to know each other.
